The band formed after the dissolution of Seratonin with Charles James and Rich Martin joined by CJ's wife, Jaimee Weatherbee, and veteran drummer Rich Freitas.Low-Beam released three eps and a vinyl 45 (as well as a limited edition live recording) over the course of several years. The music was heralded for it's touches of Sonic Youth, Galaxy 500 and Yo La Tengo. The band's last act was to record the anthemic and stirring Charge of the Light Brigade with producer Michael Deming (Silver Jews, Lilys, Pernice Brothers) which included reworkings of much of the back catalog and a few new gems.
